Having gone through my own difficult journey with menopause — and experiencing little to no quality support, either psychological or physical — I felt compelled to train in this area so that I could support women in the way I wished someone had supported me.
Midlife is a time of transition and change — sometimes chosen, often not. For some, it brings freedom and renewal; for others, it can feel uncertain, overwhelming, or even isolating. My own experience was one of challenge, which is why I am now on a mission to be there for other women who may feel the same.
Midlife Challenges: Stress, Anxiety, Low Mood, and Identity Changes
Midlife often brings with it a set of challenges that go far beyond physical change. Many women find themselves struggling with:
• Stress or burnout from work and family demands
• Anxiety or panic that feels stronger than before
• Low mood, depression, or a loss of motivation
• Changes in relationships or intimacy
• A sense of emptiness, questioning identity or purpose
• Feeling “stuck” between caring for others and wanting space for themselves
These experiences are common but can feel deeply personal. Therapy offers a safe, non-judgemental space to explore these changes, build coping strategies, and create renewed clarity and resilience in midlife.

Perimenopause and Menopause Support
Perimenopause and menopause are unique stages of life. For some women, they bring relief: freedom from periods, PMS, and worries about contraception. For others, they can trigger emotional turmoil and uncertainty.
Common emotional challenges include:
• Mood swings, irritability, or anger without clear cause
• Anxiety, panic, or heightened stress
• Fatigue, brain fog, and loss of energy
• Low self-esteem, guilt, or sadness
• Changes in sex drive or desire for solitude
• A sense of loss, emptiness, or lack of purpose
Psychotherapy provides a compassionate space to talk openly about these experiences. Together we can explore not only how your body and emotions are responding to change, but also how deeper issues – such as past traumas or life transitions – may be affecting you now.

Therapy can help you not just to cope, but to thrive.
