WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THERAPY
Every person’s journey in therapy is unique, and the number of sessions you may need will depend on your situation and the changes you want to make. Each session lasts approximately 50–60 minutes, and your treatment will be tailored to your individual needs, circumstances, and goals. No two therapies look the same, but you can expect my full dedication, professionalism, and support throughout the process.
My approach can be integrative, drawing on techniques from different therapy modalities. We will agree together on which approaches to use, ensuring your experience is collaborative and comfortable. You are always in control—deciding the pace of therapy and what you feel ready to try.
Together, we will work on increasing your self-awareness, helping you develop skills that continue to guide you even after therapy ends. The aim is to empower you to become your own best guide in managing challenges, reducing the likelihood of difficulties returning.
I will regularly check in with you to ensure that the therapy is useful and aligned with your goals. You will always be listened to, and your preferences and comfort are my priority.

CONFIDENTIALITY
Sessions are fully confidential, and what we discuss will remain between us. I follow the BABCP’s (British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies) Standards of Conduct, Performance, and Ethics, which guide how client confidentiality is maintained. Information will only be shared with other professionals if agreed with you in advance, for example during supervision. The only exceptions are situations where there is a risk to you or someone else, which would always be discussed with you.

SAFEGUARDS AND PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
To ensure safe and effective therapy, I participate in regular clinical supervision and ongoing training, and I maintain full professional indemnity insurance. Supervision and training are confidential and help me provide the highest standard of care. I adhere strictly to BABCP ethical standards and also receive specific supervision for my EMDR practice to ensure it is delivered safely and effectively.
